✖How does this 'Secret Santa' exchange thing work?
Essentially, you leave a comment here with two prompts for fic/art 'gifts', and in return you sign up to write or draw for someone else's 'gifts'! The prompts are kept anonymous, and mixed up randomly among the participants (you'll receive the prompts you're to fill on. Then on the due date, everyone e-mails his or her completed fills in, and they're posted to the community. The 'secret' part, of course, comes in that nobody knows who's filling whose prompts~
✖What can I request - does anything go?
Well, this is the Liet/Pol Secret Santa specifically, so Lithuania and Poland - as friends or a couple - should be the main focus of all prompts/fills. Outside of that, all ratings and ideas are totally fine, provided there's someone willing to fill it. But, it's best to have a prompt that isn't too vague (i.e. not just 'LietxPoland please!').
✖And are there any guidelines for fills?
When writing or drawing a fill, keep in mind what the requester asked for. That means don't fill a prompt for general fluff with smut, don't set a request for Golden Age-era as an AU space opera, etc. And aside from content, of course, quality also counts!
Fic should have 700 words or more - a collection of drabbles is fine, but it would be kind of off-putting to write ten pages for someone else and receive only a hundred-word drabble for your own request, don't you think?
For art, it's harder to qualify, but you should do more than just a sketch. As a rule of thumb, put at least a half hour of effort into whatever you do; of course, you're ultimately the final judge of whether it's appropriate quality.
The general rule, we could say, is to keep everyone else in mind, try your hardest and have fun! C:
